How ACAS Early Conciliation Works
Contact ACAS
Notify ACAS online or by phone before submitting any tribunal claim. This is mandatory.
ACAS Contact Employer
ACAS contacts your employer to see if both sides are willing to enter conciliation.
Negotiate
ACAS passes offers between you and your employer. You decide whether to accept. Up to 6 weeks.
COT3 or Certificate
If settled, you sign a COT3. If not, ACAS issues a certificate and you can proceed to tribunal.
